Who We Are

In 2019 the world experienced the most deadly pandemic which disrupted business operations which either collapsed or were on the blink of collapse. Training institutions were equally affected resulting in the paucity of organizational solutions to support the agile business environment. The need to innovate became exceedingly inevitable if the turn of events was to be rescued. The workplace inexplicable needed to respond to the new business order. International Business Consultancy and Development (IBCD) emerged positioned to creatively help in the business resuscitations with appropriate interventions that worked. Several organizations had to revisit their strategic plans to suit the changing new business demands. IBCDevelopment is a privately owned and legal entity operating under Registration of the Company Act in South Africa established  a number of partnerships with both the public and private sector to face these challenges thus demonstrating the wisdom in collaboration. This revealed robustly that organizations that trained their staff regularly had an overriding advantage in meeting operational goals through refocused strategy adopted to meeting the needs of their clientele.

Our programmes are therefore designed to meet the demands of society in one way or another after analyzing the results of training needs assessment which focused on responding to the needs exhibited in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), Agenda 2030, Continental Strategy for Africa (CESA) 16 -25, Agenda 2063 on the Africa we want, Incheona and the Dakar Declaration. All these protocols help build the capacity of our participants as they focus on the specific content in their respective programmes.

The Purpose

IBCD is committed to transform the workplace through a rebranding and value addition for organization to remain resilient and relevant after the devastating covid-19 pandemic which changed the way business is now being conducted. IBCD realizes that competences can now better be developed through a mix of non-formal, formal and informal ways of learning parameters of which are critically essential in personal development and the ability to solve socio-economic problems through their organizations.

Facilitation

Our pool of facilitators is drawn from industry and academic professionals who bring with them vast experience and well researched knowledge relevant to the contemporary world. IBCDevelopment brings together a team of facilitators with gender inclusion and selected from different countries within the SADC and the East and Southern regions. As a result, the qualifications vary from Bachelor’s degrees through to masters and doctorate (PhD) levels. The professional zeal is to serve organizations with techniques and relevant skills for directing and motivating the workforce towards operational effectiveness and the ultimate drive to sustainable competitive advantage and institutional growth given the uncertain environment we are trending in.

Organizational Structure

IBCDevelopment is governed by three founding board members with a Chief Technical Advisor who is identified from the training consultants. The Board is often represented by an Executive Director who runs the day –to-day activities of the institution. In addition, there are country representatives who are recruited on a contract basis and are mandated with establishing business demands and therefore report to the Executive Director on a regular basis.

This largely involves keeping persistent in the desire to innovate and create new relevant solutions.

Providing a framework for redefining organizational functions and professional drive within gloomy business environment requires a clear understanding of the technological relevance appropriate in advancing operational effectiveness.

Efficiency is developed by instilling a sense of cost saving driven by the desire to build an enthusiastic and productive team that revolves around performance efficacy and the drive for quality work.

Embracing the concept of ‘Ubuntu’ sets in the tone of respect for mankind bent on the realization that ‘… you are because, I am’ which leverages esprit decorps that highlights the benefits of diversity.
